Sleeping with a humidifier in your bedroom is great for all times of the year. Our weather has been pretty weird lately. One day its cold, the next its warm… Its warm during the day and chilly at night. Alternating into cool and hot temperatures can strip the skin of its natural oils. We think everyone needs one but definitely recommend the use of humidifiers to people suffering from eczema, psoriasis, dehydrated and dry skin. Similar to your hair, when skin loses enough of its natural oils, things start to go wacky.
“A humidifier allows us to control the environment, which is a great way to control the skin,” explains New York City dermatologist Paul Jarrod Frank. “Skin is our largest organ, and heat is naturally very drying, so it’s important to keep air hydrated.”
Another benefit of using a humidifier is no more itchy, dry throats in the morning. With allergy season at an all time high right now sleeping with a humidifier is going to be your best friend.
Click here for one of my favorite little humidifiers I found on Amazon and its only $15!!!
